General Information
Location
Winter Fire School courses and workshops will be conducted on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. The Equipment Exposition will be located in the Columbia Expo Center at the Holiday Inn Select, February 5, 2010, from 12 noon - 9:00 p.m.
Class Selection
Participants of the 2010 Winter Fire School may select any one (1) 12-hour course or any three (3) four-hour workshops or any one (1) 8-hour workshop and any one (1) four-hour workhop. We will make every effort to enroll you in your first-choice selection(s). However, in the event that your primary choice(s) is full, please choose two (2) alternate selections for each course or workshop selected. Changes in class selection must be made immediately upon receipt of confirmation and are subject to availability. Course numbers are located on the Conference at a Glance page, The 12 hour courses are the 100 level classes and the four hour workshops are the 400 level classes.
Age Disclaimer
Individuals under the age of 16 may not participate in the Winter Fire School. Those 16 to 17 years of age may participate with a written statement of responsibility by an accompanying adult member of the sponsoring organization who will participate in the same class(es). This must be filed with our office prior to the school. Contact MU FRTI for more information.

Dress Code
It is each student's responsibility to use good judgment in selecting attire that projects a professional image while remaining appropriate for climate differences and classroom activities. Acceptable attire at the fire school is business casual or official department uniform.
Tuition Fee
Preregistration is required for the 2010 Winter Fire School. Accepted payment methods include department purchase order, letter of billing authorization on official letterhead, personal check made payable to University of Missouri, and VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit cards.

Preregistration is required.
Your expenditure for this conference may qualify you for a Lifetime Learning federal tax credit. Please consult with your tax adviser on how this new credit may benefit you.
Webcast
Webcast requirements include: high speed internet connection and windows media player. Fees will consist of a $25 per class single user fee, or a $125 site fee that covers up to 10 seats. All registered participants will receive certificates.
Billing and Refunds
Invoices will not be sent to individuals. Organizations may be billed for fees if the registration form is accompanied by a purchase order or authorization letter signed by an organization administrator on official letterhead. Billing for all registered participants will be done regardless of attendance. Full refunds will be honored upon written request received prior to January 4, 2010.
Cancellations after January 4, 2010 will be charged a $50.00 processing fee.
No refunds will be given after January 22, 2010.
Confirmation
Participants who register online will receive an electronic confirmation immediately upon processing registration request. All participants will receive a letter of confirmation and class tickets via regular mail. Check personal and class information carefully. If all information is correct, bring your letter to the fire school and report directly to your scheduled class. If there are any errors, contact the MU Conference Office as soon as possible. If you have not received confirmation within two (2) weeks of registering for the fire school, please contact the MU Conference Office at 573-882-8320 or 866-682-6663.

Brady Commons Will Be Closed Due To Construction
Brady Student Commons is being replaced by the new Student Center and will be under construction during the 2010 Winter Fire School. Due to this construction Brady Food Court will also be closed, however there will be dining services available within walking distance on campus.
