MU Fire and Rescue Training Institute conducts statewide conferences and seminars throughout the year. Annual events include:

Winter Fire School

February 2-4, 2018 — Columbia, Missouri

Held in Columbia each February, the event offers over 100 classes to choose from in a weekend format of 4, 8 or 12 hour classes. Topics are geared for all levels of response from fire, EMS, emergency management and more. In addition, the Midwest’s largest Equipment Exposition provides an excellent opportunity for learning and networking.

Summer Fire School

May 16-20, 2018 — Columbia, Missouri

Columbia is the host location for the Summer Fire School focusing on the practical skills training necessary for today's emergency responders and wildland firefighters. This annual event has grown from a weekend program to a 5 day event.

Instructor Conference - NEW LOCATION!

Camden on the Lake - Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri

November 3-5, 2017

November 2-4, 2018

Held annually this conference allows state certified instructors an opportunity to obtain CEUs for recertification on a variety of instructor development topics. The Instructor Conference will be held at Camden on the Lake for 2016-2018 for more information download this PDF.
